Yo!

Name's Ray Zheng, 20, he/him. I’m a self taught artist and writer from Jakarta, Indonesia, and the creator of Ace of Thieves.

The Ace of Thieves (or AT) is my passion project that I have had since about sixth grade. I created this series from maladaptive daydreaming. Basically, I spend all of my days daydreaming to a large extent. It’s my biggest source of creativity, and the reason why I started drawing, writing, and creating AT.

You’ll find a lot of art of AT along with Yakuza more than anything else on my accounts—they all pertain to the storyline or are just fun content of the characters.

• Q: What program(s) do you use?
  • Mainly Procreate, but sometimes I dabble in Clip Studio Paint. For idle sketching or random doodles I use iArtbook. For video editing, I use Adobe Premiere Rush.
• Q: What tablet do you use?
  • I use an iPad Pro, 12 inch, 2nd generation. For CSP I use my laptop, an HP Pavillion x360 Envy and a random Surface pen.
• Q: What brushes do you use?
  • I use a mix of Jingsketch brushes, Katrima brushes, and the Round Brush on Procreate. On CSP, I mainly use the paint brushes.
• Q: Do you do commissions?
  • Yup. They’re not open all the time, so you’d have to check my Instagram account bio to know if they are. I'm still working on finding pricing and guideline info, but once those are finsihed, they'll always be up.
• Q: Can I use your art for something (profile picture, reference, etc.)?
  • Of course! As long as you credit me somewhere, I am absolutely okay with it.
• Q: Are your DMs open?
  • Absolutely! I love meeting new people and making new friends, if you ever wanna reach out please do! Sorry if I get back to you late though, I'm usually out and about during the day and have a weird sleep schedule, but I'll get back to you as soon as I'm up.
